How can I survive the battle against the Beholder Tyrant?
1 of 5: This could be tricky, since there are several other beholders in the tyrant's room, too.
2 of 5: You could try entering the tyrant's room and then exiting again in hopes of drawing the lesser beholders after you one at a time.
3 of 5: Strong melee fighters with high saving throws should charge the Beholder Tyrant and take it down ASAP, and then retreat (perhaps via Relic of the Reaper) to rest and heal.
4 of 5: Wearing the Prismatic Dragon Boots from location 6 on the West of Lith My'athar map will get you a spell resistance of 24 plus immunity to fear and knockdown, all of which can help hugely.
5 of 5: Another thing you could do is visit the optional Lower Tunnels area and retrieve the anti-magic device. It has three uses, and you could spend one of them in the tyrant's area to keep the beholders from using magic during the battle. That turns them into superb wimps!
