Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Hints
The cleric in the temple diseased me when I approached him! What now?
1 of 8: He offers you a way to prove yourself to Talona (his twisted new god) and thereby earn the antidote to the special disease.
2 of 8: If you're in a hurry, you could just choose to kill Lomylithrar and loot his corpse. You'll get the antidote bottle, which you can use to cure yourself, plus a mirror shard and several magic items.
3 of 8: However, it's much better to accept the challenge and pass it so that you'll get more XP. You can always kill Lomy later on.
4 of 8: After you accept the challenge, pull one of the three nearby chains to get yourself and one opponent teleported into the small arena area that's behind the magical forcefield. What type of opponent you get depends on which chain you pull.
5 of 8: Specifically, the left chain gets you a ghoul ravager, the middle chain gets you a dire spider, and the right chain gets you a diseased troll.
6 of 8: NOTE: While in the arena, you can loot a corpse to get a healing potion and a magical halberd.
7 of 8: The disease gets progressively worse as you fight more opponents, but eventually (after five fights or so) Lomy will say that you've proven yourself and will give you the antidote and mirror shard.
8 of 8: After taking the antidote, you can optionally kill Lomy to get his stuff, but it's not particularly great except to sell for gold.
