Notes and Extras
1 of 4: If you do decide to fight and kill your way through Zorvak'Mur, be sure to carefully check for "remains" bags after each battle. Many of the illithids have +6 rings and other items on them.
2 of 4: If you go in peaceful-like, you can do business with a mind flayer merchant named Artuur. You'll find him near the Poison Chalice Palace in the center section of Zorvak'Mur. He's not the best merchant to sell to, but he has some items worth looking at for purchase (including one of the exclusive Nasher series of items and the very useful Potions of Heal).
3 of 4: You can loot the chest and kill the illithids in the Sleeping Chambers (NW section of main city) without compromising your peaceful status with the rest of the illithid region. This gets you some gems and gold from the chest and a Ring of Protection +6 from the remains of one of the illithids.
4 of 4: You can try to make money by talking to the mind flayer pit boss in the Fighting Pits (SW) area and placing a wager on a fighting thrall. Once a wager is placed, click on one of the viewing ports in the big round arena dome to see how it turns out. Report back to the pit boss to collect if your guy wins.
