Why do I keep taking damage every few seconds?
1 of 5: The city is a very cold place, and the cold affects you physically unless you have an item or spell effect on that protects against cold damage.
2 of 5: Fortunately, it only does a tiny bit of damage every few seconds, and having an item with a regeneration effect on it can easily make up for that.
3 of 5: Also, going near one of the many fires that the lost souls are clustered around can warm you to where the cold won't be able to damage you for a short while afterward.
4 of 5: You can create fires yourself if you have a few of the local berries and can find a dead campfire.
5 of 5: Also, you can trade Velox berries to the tavern's dragon tavernkeeper for strong brews you can take with you and drink for the equivalent effect of warming at a three-berry fire. Using such brews in the City of Lost Souls is unnecessary, but can be very handy once you leave the city and start exploring the wastes.
