Where's the spirit who opposed Mephistopheles and lost?

  • 1 of 9: Have you asked any of the worried spirits about stopping Mephistopheles?
  • 2 of 9: When she faced him and lost, she was trapped in a nearby cave that's up on higher ground.
  • 3 of 9: It's the cave that's magically blocked, and that the Scrivener can be found next to.
  • 4 of 9: Before you can approach the lost leader's spirit, you must help the Scrivener find his way to where he can engrave her name in the ice.
  • 5 of 9: Once that's done, you can enter the cave and find Aribeth frozen solid next to a dead fire.
  • 6 of 9: To revive her, you need to rekindle the fire.
  • 7 of 9: Unfortunately, her first instinct is to attack, so you'll have to hack her down to "near death" status to get her to settle down and talk.
  • 8 of 9: Your goal here is to turn her into a viable henchman, and there are two ways you can do this.
  • 9 of 9: You can convince her to follow Tyr and return to the ways of a true paladin, or you can tell her to give in to the evil and concentrate on being a blackguard. The two ways are pretty much equivalent, the main difference being in what alignment-specific equipment Aribeth can wear.
