Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Hints
How do I get the Trumpet of Pandemonium from Swift?
1 of 6: Talk to him about the pilgrims and the Sleeping Man until he tells you of his aborted plan to wake the Sleeping Man with the Trumpet of Pandemonium, then ask to borrow it.
2 of 6: He'll insist that you play a card game with him in which you put $5,000 or more worth of stuff on the nearby card table and then ask him five questions to help you guess which card he's holding.
3 of 6: Be sure to save your game before playing this card game with him. He'll lie in answer to some of your questions, and you won't be able to tell he's lying unless you pass a tough Wisdom check. (Due to this, you might want to try boosting your Wisdom stat with items, spells, and potions before playing.)
4 of 6: When asking questions, choose ones that eliminate the greatest number of possibilities first, such as whether or not the card has an even value.
5 of 6: To learn its suite, ask if it's a black card and then use the guess-the-suite question to narrow it down further. (Remember that spades and clubs are black suites, and diamonds and hearts are red suites.)
6 of 6: If you keep failing to guess the card, or just don't want to mess with it, you can always kill Swift and take the trumpet (and anything you've lost to him) from his corpse.
