Notes and Extras
1 of 3: You can peer into the large ice crystal that's near the center of the outdoor area to get some XP and an update on Mephistopheles' progress.
2 of 3: One of the treasure chests in the gem miners' section of the Mimic's Nest has a special suit of armor called Casiel's Soul that evil-aligned characters can wear to become immune to bludgeoning damage. If you rescued Aribeth and encouraged her to turn evil, this will be a good replacement for her starting armor.
3 of 3: There are two treasure chests on ledges in the Mimic's Nest (SW and SE corners) that can't be reached without using the demonic grappling hand. Unfortunately, there's no way to get back into the nest after you get the hand except by exporting your character and starting a new game on Chapter 3 with him (so that he starts with the hand). This isn't worth the trouble due to the fact that the two chests only have mediocre treasure in them. So why were they put there to begin with? Nobody knows.
