Alias Notes

  • 1 of 17: Alias normally hangs around near the SW corner of the South Cyan area. You can find her there and have her take you to the Guildhall in North Cyan or to a spot in the Emerald Hills area near her aunt's cave.
  • 2 of 17: When you gain a guild vote, Alias will briefly appear at any of three certain places the next time you approach one of them.
  • 3 of 17: Those three places are the entrance to the Guildhall in North Cyan, the gate that leads between North and South Cyan, and the keep's front gates that lead out to the Empty Battlefield.
  • 4 of 17: If Alias catches you at one of those places, she'll say the election is about to take place. This can be bad news if you don't have enough votes yet to win.
  • 5 of 17: If you haven't done the Landowners' Guild quest yet, Alias will give you the option to head for the hills and start doing it, which will help to stall the election.
  • 6 of 17: There is a way to do every quest and get all nine votes before the election happens. Read on to find out how.
  • 7 of 17: Do any vote quest other than the landowner one and then go to a spot where Alias will appear and pester you about the election.
  • 8 of 17: Tell her "I can handle things by myself." and then "Not right now. Maybe later."
  • 9 of 17: That'll keep her off your back for a little while, so do as many quests other than the landowner quest as you can before she starts appearing at those three spots again.
  • 10 of 17: When she does, agree to go kill goblins, but as soon as you reach the Emerald Hills, leave her there and return to the keep via the Empty Battlefield area.
  • 11 of 17: You should then be able to move freely about the keep again and get more votes without Alias interfering.
  • 12 of 17: However, when you're moving around in the Emerald Hills area from then on, you may hit some trigger points that try to force you to run straight to Alias. If so, just keep clicking on a spot past the trigger point to force your character past it and on to where you want him to go.
  • 13 of 17: When you've done all the vote quests except for the Landowners' Guild, the Nobles' Guild, and the Military Guild, then it's finally time to do the landowner quest.
  • 14 of 17: WARNING: Be very careful to avoid talking to Alias when you exit the goblin cave after completing the quest task inside. The game will try to force you to run over and talk to her, but resist and run for the exit to the Empty Battlefield.
  • 15 of 17: If you make it back to the keep without talking to Alias, you can report in to Serah Blackhand to get the landowner vote and buy the haunted mansion.
  • 16 of 17: Now you can do the vote quests for the Nobles' Guild and the Military Guild, as well as the Haunted Mansion side quest.
  • 17 of 17: When you've got all nine votes and are ready to be elected, go back out to the Emerald Hills and talk to Alias to get the election started. (If you instead have Mykes Lamplighter in the Guildhall start the election, a serious glitch may happen right after the election's over.)
