How can I open the gate that leads to the northernmost room?

2 of 8: You apparently need no fewer than *five* keys to open this super-locked gate.
3 of 8: Each key is in the possession of one of the illithid-controlled enemies in the area.
4 of 8: You need to find the five major monster rooms and kill off everything in them.
5 of 8: You can probably do that without too much trouble if you use the tactic of drawing them off a few at a time.
6 of 8: Another way is to direct the bouncy magic energy balls into the enemy rooms to soften them up for you first.
