Assassin Notes

  • 1 of 12: Once you've gained several votes, assassins will start appearing and attacking you near the SE end of South Cyan.
  • 2 of 12: After the first attack happens, go get another vote and then return to the same area to get the second attack to happen.
  • 3 of 12: Search for remains after killing off the second wave of assassins to find an assassin note.
  • 4 of 12: NOTE: You may get both waves of assassins at once the first time they attack, which means you can also get the assassin note then.
  • 5 of 12: Think hard, now -- who might want to have you assassinated rather than see you win the election?
  • 6 of 12: How about that evil-tempered fellow contender, Sir Becket?
  • 7 of 12: But how are you going to prove that it's him? The assassin note isn't proof enough, even though it does seem to indicate he wrote it.
  • 8 of 12: He has a mansion near the SW corner of North Cyan. Why not search the place?
  • 9 of 12: There's a locked desk in the mansion's SE room that you need to open.
  • 10 of 12: After lockpicking or bashing it, get the note paper item -- it's the other half of the torn parchment that the assassin note was written on.
  • 11 of 12: TIP: There are a couple of other containers in the mansion that you can search for minor treasure.
  • 12 of 12: Keep both the note paper and the assassin note, and you'll be able to get Enivid Divine to arrest Sir Becket for trying to have you killed right after you've won the election. That'll get you 500 XP besides the satisfying feeling of putting a dirty rat behind bars!
