Neverwinter Nights: Kingmaker Hints

How can I do that?

  • 1 of 15: First, you have to get started on the Home Improvement side quest.
  • 2 of 15: Have you searched around the area in the Haunted Mansion where you saw Lady Rehan's spirit?
  • 3 of 15: Walk around the SE corner of the mansion in Detect mode if necessary to find a large grate in the floor.
  • 4 of 15: Open the grate and then click on the opening to enter a secret crawl space.
  • 5 of 15: There's another large grate at the other end of the crawl space.
  • 6 of 15: You can't open it, but you can put your ear to it to hear something interesting.
  • 7 of 15: After you hear Sir Becket speaking to the maid he's having an illicit affair with, you'll have a chance to grab his ring as proof.
  • 8 of 15: You will have to pass a Dexterity check to get it, and you'll only have one chance, so you might want to equip items and drink potions to increase your Dexterity and then save your game before you listen at the grate.
  • 9 of 15: Once you have the ring or have given up on getting it, go visit Ellysia Silvertongue in her manor.
  • 10 of 15: TIP: If you got the ring and are sure you won't need it to persuade Ellysia, you can show it to Sir Becket in his manor and trade it to him for up to 2000 gold and 500 XP (which is way more than the ring is worth). To get the 2000 gold option, first say that you want to watch his face as his love leaves him.
  • 11 of 15: Ask Ellysia about Becket and then reveal that he's having an affair.
  • 12 of 15: To convince her that you're telling the truth, you'll have to either show her Becket's ring or successfully persuade/bluff/intimidate her (which you'll only have one chance to do, so quicksave before trying).
  • 13 of 15: When she believes you, she'll call off her marriage to Becket and give you the Nobles' Guild's vote in the election as well as a Ring of Protection +1.
  • 14 of 15: Now's the time to tell her that Feran still loves her.
  • 15 of 15: After you do, report the good news to Feran to get his guild's vote in the election as well as 500 gold, 1000 XP, and 15 good alignment points.
