Neverwinter Nights: ShadowGuard Hints

How do rations work in this module?

  • 1 of 7: They have to do with the resting function.
  • 2 of 7: In ShadowGuard, if you rest without having any rations in your inventory, you'll start starving.
  • 3 of 7: That means some of your ability scores will lower.
  • 4 of 7: Also, if you rest 10 times in a row without rations, you'll starve and die.
  • 5 of 7: The good news is that you'll start out with 5 ration packs, and can buy more from Rago in the Market District and Ruknar the Tavern Keeper in the Ravenclaw Tavern (also in the Market District).
  • 6 of 7: To help offset that inconvenience, you can rest just about anywhere when no enemies are nearby, including out on the city streets.
  • 7 of 7: NOTE: There are other items that you can find and buy, such as fish meat and chakara berries, which will serve as rations.
