What if I can't get that topic?
1 of 6: Then you'll need to do a bit of research to learn about irilium.
2 of 6: Ask around to see if anyone knows anything about it or any other power source.
3 of 6: Sevanna in the Market District will have a dialogue option about animation of magical constructs.
4 of 6: Talk to her about that, and she'll offer to sell you a wizard's journal for 20 gold.
5 of 6: You can either hand over the 20 gold, try to bargain her down, or pass on it and then lockpick or bash the chest next to her to get it.
6 of 6: You can then go to Janthos and suggest irilium (and hand it over if you have it from breaking open Sevanna's chest.)
