How can I crush the pedestals operating the stone?
1 of 3: Harkon is referring to the 12 pedestals that are arrayed around the stone, and that are connected to it with sizzly zap lines.
2 of 3: You'll need to bash all 12 pedestals in order to shut off the Control Stone.
3 of 3: Markius won't help you, so go around and bash all the pedestals yourself, even though you'll take some electrical damage from doing it.
