Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Hints
How can I get to level 2?
1 of 5: There are four doors leading to level 2 of the temple, but you can't use any of them at first.
2 of 5: You need to go around and kill off all four groups of medusa handmaidens. They're doing some crazy ritual to keep the doors intangible.
3 of 5: A really good way to attack those groups is to make your way slowly and carefully around the outer walkways that connect the four areas. Those walkways are full of traps, so be careful not to take too much damage from them yourself. If you start firing spells and/or arrows from about where the treasure chest is on each walkway, you'll get a good head start on damaging the medusas and their golems, plus they'll take a lot of trap damage coming after you.
4 of 5: NOTE: There are four treasure chests on the heavily-trapped outer walkways. Each chest has one fixed major magic item plus several minor ones and one fairly good random one. The major items are Chainmail of Speed (NE chest), Kumakawa armor (SE chest), Squire's Defense armor (SW chest), and Red Dragon Armor (NW chest).
5 of 5: Once all of the handmaidens and golems are dead, you can use any of the four temple doors to get to level 2. (Note that the corresponding doors on level 2 can be used to return to level 1, though that will probably never be necessary.)
