What am I supposed to do on level 2?
1 of 7: Level 2 is a strange one. For starters, there's a huge fire-breathing tentacle beast that lives in the very center of the level, so you need to get off the square center walkway as soon as you can. (It doesn't matter which side path you go down, so take any of them.)
2 of 7: There are four major areas branching off from the center square walkway. In each area, you need to do the following three things:
3 of 7: 1) Find the bloodied altar with a shank of meat on it and take it (and whatever other goodies the altar may hold).
4 of 7: 2) Find the locked door with four levers next to it and push the only lever you can interact with.
5 of 7: 3) Go put the shank of meat on the magically glowing bloodied altar that's near the path to the level center. This will distract the huge tentacle beast long enough for you to run to the next area without getting burned.
6 of 7: Each of the four areas has many monsters, and the monster types are level-dependent. Level-20 characters will find themselves facing a huge horde of tough-to-kill skeletal devourers. It's best to duck around the large groups and just do what you're there to do. (And keep plenty of Lesser Restoration potions and scrolls handy for when the devourers drain your Strength.)
7 of 7: When you hit the fourth lever, the nearby door will open and you can run through it to get to the Mythal chamber and the final confrontation with Heurodis.
