Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Hints
Now how can I open the big north doors in the underground ruins?
of 9: First, you'll need to complete a sort of Ritual of the Elements.
of 9: You need to hunt down and kill an elemental representative of all four of the elements (earth, air, fire, and water).
of 9: First, check out the treasure chest at the west end of the main room to find a Potion of Protection from Elements. That's a great potion and could be very useful here, but I strongly advise you to save it for your battle with J'Nah.
of 9: For other means of protection, use the floor lever in the center of the room.
of 9: When you use it, one of the four glowing elemental doors will open. Note what color the magical energy around it is.
of 9: Go through the door and down the hallways. Whenever you come to a branch, always follow the magical energy burst that's the same color as the doorway you went through. You're only immune to the traps of that one element.
of 9: You'll have to kill a few mephits along the way, but your real challenge will be the elemental that's summoned as you enter the summoning room. You'd better be at full health and with protective spell effects on you (and healing potions at the ready).
of 9: Whenever you kill a summoned elemental, you're teleported back to the central room, where the process repeats until you've killed all four elemental summonings.
of 9: Then you can finally open the doors that lead to J'Nah's area.
