Is there any way to get free healing now?
1 of 4: Sure is. Check out the wagons in the caravan.
2 of 4: You can enter Daschnaya's wagon and talk to her.
3 of 4: Ask her what she can do for you to learn that she can heal you for free and can offer you a store to shop in (and read your future if you finished the quest in Chapter 1 about returning her stolen cards).
4 of 4: Also note that the divining pool is in her wagon.
