Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Hints
Where is Desert's Fury, and how do I get it?
of 18: It's in Al-Rashid's tomb, which is the so-called "catacomb" that's just a short distance north of where you meet Ali.
of 18: After clearing out the zombies, look around to see what's left.
of 18: The sarcophagus that contains Desert's Fury is locked and unbreakable, so you're going to have to figure out how it's meant to be opened.
of 18: Click on the rune pillar at the back of the room for a clue.
of 18: Soon after you do, the four gargoyle statues will animate and attack you.
of 18: Turn them all into rubble to get a 4X4 grid of pressure plates to appear in the center of the floor.
of 18: That and the fact that you can pick up the seven heavy rune stones scattered about the place should clue you in to what type of puzzle this is.
of 18: Yes, it's yet another "place items on weight-sensitive pressure pads just so" puzzle. But what could the pattern be for this one?
of 18: Look at all the signs in the place.
of 18: They all have a big X on them. How could you place rune stones on the 4X4 array to form an X shape?
of 18: You need to drop stones on the four corner plates and the four center plates.
of 18: To place a rune stone after picking it up, go stand on the pressure plate you want it to be on, bring up your inventory window, right-click on the rune stone, and choose the Drop action.
of 18: Repeat until you have all seven rune stones on the grid.
of 18: However, you really need eight stones to complete the X pattern. What else could you use?
of 18: None of your other inventory items are heavy enough.
of 18: But you are! (And so is your henchman.)
of 18: Stand on the eighth plate to activate the sarcophagus' unlocking mechanism (and make sure your henchman isn't standing on another plate and ruining the nice X pattern).
of 18: Now you can get Desert's Fury from the sarco and use it on all the undead you're going to have to fight during the next two phases of Operation Getwater.
