How do I finish destroying Kel-Garas?
1 of 7: The best thing to do is walk over to the altar while the dialogue window is still open.
2 of 7: When you get near the altar, he'll see what you're up to and summon up a bunch of skeletons to fight you. He'll also put a strong blade barrier between you and the altar.
3 of 7: You should click on the altar and then pause the game as soon as you get its inventory screen.
4 of 7: Move the Rod of Blight from your inventory to the altar's, then click Close.
5 of 7: That will instantly destroy Kel-Garas and all of his skeletal minions, so the blade barrier is the only remaining problem. Click on a spot of the floor a ways south of the altar and then unpause the game. You should be able to make it away alive.
6 of 7: Talk to Ali, who rushed in to help with the fighting, then wait until the blade barrier wears off.
7 of 7: Click on the altar again and take the Rod of Dawn. It's only usable by good or neutral clerics, but anyone can sell it for big bucks to Musharak in the Ao encampment later. (Also, get the stuff out of the two urns next to the altar if you didn't before.)
