Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Hints
Do I have to enter the Formian hive?
1 of 7: No, but it can be good for lots of bonus XP and low-level treasure.
2 of 7: Also, if you make the long trek to the queen's chamber in the center, you can talk to her and make a deal (or kill her for lots of XP, but this is very, very hard to do).
3 of 7: If you make a deal, she'll give you a special Formian crystal that you can use once to summon a Formian Myrmarch to aid you in battle.
4 of 7: Also, you can use the interactive boulder in the queen's chamber to reach a secret room in the ruins.
5 of 7: That room has two minogons to kill, plus four sarcophagi with great treasure (hundreds of gold, a Composite Longbow +2, a Large Shield +2, a ruby, and some spell scrolls and misc. stuff).
6 of 7: When you're ready to leave, you'll need to search out the secret door in the middle of the east wall since the Formian hive is all sealed up now.
7 of 7: NOTE: It is possible to spot the secret door to this treasure room from the other side without ever entering the Formian hive, but it's a very hard door to find. Also, if you do find it and then enter the hive from in the treasure room, the queen will automatically be hostile.
