How can I get magic items with usable powers to work as quickbar items?
1 of 4: First, bring up your inventory screen and drag the item down to a quickbar slot just like always.
2 of 4: But that's not enough for all items. Doing that with some items (like the Mystra's Hand ring) and then pressing the quick key will just equip and unequip the item.
3 of 4: Before you press the quick key, right-click on the item in its quickbar slot, then left-click on the icon that comes up for using the item's power. (On items with more than one power, choose one.)
4 of 4: The chosen power won't be activated that time, but notice that a little asterisk appears in the top right corner of the quickbar slot. *Now* you can press that quick key to instantly use the item's chosen power.
