Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Hints
What do I do in the portal room?
of 13: Have you killed off all of the slaadi?
of 13: Have you gotten Drogan to appear? (Move to the north end of the room.)
of 13: Activating the portal and following Heurodis to Undrentide is what you have to do now.
of 13: However, you're going to have to do more than just wait around while Drogan casts useless spells at it.
of 13: Why not check out that crystal ball that's on a small pedestal north of the main portal structure?
of 13: Click on it to get a brief vision of a nearby room.
of 13: Search around to the east and west of the main portal room to find six small side rooms, each with a big button on a pillar.
of 13: That's what the crystal ball is trying to show you! It knows what order to press those six buttons in.
of 13: Did you notice that in the first vision it gave you there was a torch on the floor near the button?
of 13: Find the only one of the six button rooms that has a torch on the floor.
of 13: It's the NE room (the northern-most room on the east side).
of 13: After you press the button, go to the other five rooms and drop distinctive inventory items in front of the other five buttons. That way you'll know which room the crystal ball is showing you next.
of 13: Keep it up until you get all six buttons pressed in the correct sequence.
