Sphinx Notes
1 of 4: About the only way you're going to be able to meet the DC of 37 for dominating the sphinx is if you're wearing the Greater Gloves of Animal Handling (sold by Farghan in Chapter 1) and the Ring of Animal Friendship (in a chest in the bandits' forest cave in Chapter 1). I sure hope you saved those items!
2 of 4: After you dominate the Sphinx, he may or may not follow you through the secret door. If not, you can go back through and try again, or you can exit the ruins to get him to catch up to you instantly. The quickest way out is to go through the big floor hole in the ruins' central hallway to enter the Formian hive.
3 of 4: While you're in the hive, why not run through it with the sphinx? Even he can't help much against the Formian queen if you decide to kill her, but he'll make quick work of the workers and warriors between the entrance and the queen.
4 of 4: Unfortunately, the sphinx can't follow you through the portal to the ruins of Undrentide, so be sure to have all the fun with him you can before you activate the portal and leave. Also, when you're ready to go, you might want to release the sphinx from domination and then kill him for some extra XP.
