Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Hints
Thayvian Enclave
of 10: Talk to Szaren, the Red Wizard of Thay, who's standing near the trade caravan in the Hilltop East area to get this quest.
of 10: He wants you to convince the mayor to reconsider allowing the Red Wizards to set up shop in Hilltop, so return to the Community Hall in Hilltop West.
of 10: Talk to Haniah Dales and try to persuade her to let the Red Wiz stay.
of 10: It'll be a very tough persuade to make, and you only get one chance at it, so save your game before you talk to her. (Also, try readying items that increase your Charisma stat and Persuade skill, drinking Potions of Eagle's Splendor, etc.)
of 10: NOTE: This persuade check can be avoided if you've already completed the "An Excess of Prophet" quest diplomatically (no violence) but haven't reported back on it yet. When you talk to Haniah, mention Szaren first and *then* report that Piper is no longer a problem.
of 10: If you can't persuade her no matter how many times you restore and try, then just accept her refusal and report back to Szaren.
of 10: You'll only get half as many XP if you failed to help Szaren's case, but it's better than nothing.
of 10: If you got him permission, go check out his new shop just west of the Community Hall in Hilltop West. He even had the nerve to call it "Thaymart!"
of 10: He'll have a fairly standard inventory of magical and non-magical gear to sell.
of 10: The special thing about him is that he'll buy dragon eggs and three of the artifacts that you're out looking for (all except the tower statue, which is the one that's most vital to the main plotline).
