How can I defeat the Shadow Lich in his lair?
1 of 5: The lair is just a big square with a huge pillar in the middle, but be careful -- there are a LOT of Shadovar spellcasters and warriors protecting the Shadow Lich.
2 of 5: Spellcasters will want to use lots of area-effect spells like Fireball against the groups of enemies. (Other characters can use the Necklace of Fireballs if you got it from the ruins in the Interlude.)
3 of 5: Another good strategy is to run to one corner of the square lair and start firing arrows at the Shadovar masses, then run all the way around to the opposite corner of the square. You can briefly stop and heal up on the way, since they aren't very good at pursuing you closely.
4 of 5: Once they're all dead, search the Shadow Lich's remains to find the Dark Wind sphere and some really cool mage armor that gives lots of spell focus feats and spell resistance when worn.
5 of 5: When you're through looting the area, use the portable door to return to the High Arcanist's Chambers. From there, you can use the zappy doorway in the SW corner of the area as a shortcut back to the West Fragment region.
