How can I win the challenge and get the reward?

  • 1 of 14: First, make your way to level 3 via level 1 and (optionally) level 2.
  • 2 of 14: Once there, head down to the large SE room with the glowing riddle statue.
  • 3 of 14: Click on the riddle statue to hear the riddle.
  • 4 of 14: It's really a rather common and easy riddle.
  • 5 of 14: What "box" has "gold" in the middle, but no hinges, keys, or lids?
  • 6 of 14: It has to be broken open to get at the "gold."
  • 7 of 14: Think hen fruit.
  • 8 of 14: That's right: an egg!
  • 9 of 14: You can't just say "egg" to the statue, though -- you need a special egg.
  • 10 of 14: You need the crystal egg from elsewhere in the challenge in order to solve the riddle.
  • 11 of 14: Put the crystal egg in the chest next to the statue and click on the statue again to win the challenge.
  • 12 of 14: NOTE: The other three crystal items can be put into the chest before you put the egg in for some extra combat and XP.
  • 13 of 14: After you win and are teleported back to Jaroo's room, return to the inn's main floor and talk to Mutamin to get your reward.
  • 14 of 14: Note that the armor he gives you is Broewende family armor, which makes you immune to mind-affecting spells. If you can wear medium armor, be sure to keep it around even if you normally wear something else, because it's very useful to wear when you're facing monsters like minogons and slaad.
