Neverwinter Nights Hints
Where do I go to find and grind the traitor?
of 10: On the main floor, head up to the NW section.
of 10: After going through one level-loading door and talking to that dizzy dip Fenthick, go through another door to end up on Desther's level.
of 10: NOTE: As soon as you enter Desther's level, you're stuck there until you defeat him and start Chapter 2. Even your Stone of Recall can't get you back to the ritual chamber!
of 10: You can raid a couple of optional loot rooms first, but sooner or later you'll need to enter the south room and attack Desther and his undead pals.
of 10: The way to handle this is to kill all of the undead in the room (maybe leading them out into the hallways a few at a time to keep from being overwhelmed) before you directly attack Desther.
of 10: NOTE: Be sure not to walk through the beams of power that the ritual creatures are generating around Desther. Instead, walk up behind each creature and attack it from there, or shoot them all from a safe distance with arrows.
of 10: Once all of his "personal empowerment" zombies are dead, you can attack Desther and knock his hit points down to get him to surrender.
of 10: When he does, you can take him and the plague cure to Neverwinter at once, or wait and loot the Hold a bit more first.
of 10: NOTE: Be sure to get the dragon blood and ultra-rare special holy water from one of the nearby alchemy tables. It's too late to use them with Marrok, but they'll come in handy with a similar fellow in Chapter 3.
of 10: Taking Desther back to Neverwinter for trial and execution marks the end of Chapter 1, and Chapter 2 will begin after a cut scene.
