Is there a way to enter the Uthgardt fort without fighting my way in?
1 of 9: There's no secret way in, if that's what you mean.
2 of 9: However, it is possible to get in without everyone inside being hostile.
3 of 9: You need a symbol of peace that the Uthgardt Elk Tribe recognizes and respects.
4 of 9: To get one, you'll need to do a tribe member a big favor so that he'll trust you enough to give you such a symbol.
5 of 9: An Uthgardt man named Uncas is currently a captive of some orc bandits.
6 of 9: Search Guzuk's cave in the NW corner of the main Ft. Ilkard area.
7 of 9: Uncas is in the cave room that's just west of where Guzuk is.
8 of 9: Talk to Uncas about the Elk Tribe allying with Luskan, and he'll give you the Feather of Peace.
9 of 9: Once you have it, return to the homestead area and talk to the guy guarding the gate that leads into the Uthgardt fort. He'll see that you have the feather, and he and everyone inside the fort will be friendly (though all the other Uthgardt Elk members in the nearby regions will still be hostile).
