1 of 4: You'll need a translation device.
2 of 4: You could have gotten a translation amulet from the adventurer's corpse that you came across right after you first entered the Creator Race Ruins.
3 of 4: Also, you can get one from many of the Old Ones in the ruins (present or past) after you kill them.
4 of 4: Wear a translation amulet in order to talk to the slaves.
