How can I get the Star Sapphire from the tomb?
- 1 of 14: After you enter the tomb, you'll find the room with the Star Sapphire at the south end of the long N/S hallway that divides the tomb into two parts.
- 2 of 14: Unfortunately, the coveted gem is locked securely in the center pedestal.
- 3 of 14: Examine the four pedestals arrayed around it.
- 4 of 14: Each one has a tablet in it that gives two clues as to the item to put in it.
- 5 of 14: You need to go find four special gems.
- 6 of 14: Two of the gems are in containers in the two rooms in the NW corner of the tomb (the ones past the iron golem).
- 7 of 14: Another gem is in the east-side room that's just west of where you meet a stone golem in the hall.
- 8 of 14: The fourth and final gem is in the sarcophagus in the NE corner treasure room. (Watch out for fire elementals appearing and attacking when you take it.)
- 9 of 14: Once you have all four, go and put them in the appropriate pedestals in the pedestal room.
- 10 of 14: One way to do this is to just save your game and try placing gems at random.
- 11 of 14: But remember that the tablets on the pedestals give two clues as to where each gem goes.
- 12 of 14: The color of the tablet helps determine which gem to place.
- 13 of 14: Also, if you examine each tablet, you'll see they all have inscriptions that give big clues as to what gem they refer to. (For example, the tablet that talks about a princess weeping for a forbidden groom needs the Gem of Misery.)
- 14 of 14: Once all four gems are correctly placed, you can click on the center pedestal to open it up and get the Star Sapphire.
