Neverwinter Nights Hints

What all is of interest in these three caves up north?

  • 1 of 10: There are lots of monsters to kill and tons of treasure to plunder, including lots of good magical equipment.
  • 2 of 10: That's about all there is in the Goblin and Orc Cave.
  • 3 of 10: You'll find a woman in need of a rescue in the prison area of the Bugbear Cave. That'll get you some optional quest credit.
  • 4 of 10: But the real action is in the Ogre Cave, which is only accessible via some stairs on the far east side of the Bugbear Cave.
  • 5 of 10: You can find a prisoner in a small jail cell near the entrance that you can quiz to learn that Dergiab, the local ogre leader, has taken up with a member of the evil cult you're out to destroy.
  • 6 of 10: So find Dergiab's large cave in the south central section of the Ogre Cave and send him and his evil cultist pal straight to blazes.
  • 7 of 10: Once Dergiab is dead, search his treasure bag to find his head, which you can turn over to a farmer in the outdoor North Road area for a reward.
  • 8 of 10: Also search Ganon's treasure bag to find some really great items.
  • 9 of 10: Then open a nearby chest to find Ganon's Journal. That's an essential quest item, so be sure to get it.
  • 10 of 10: Past a locked door to the west is a room with several treasure chests and a yellow swirl teleporter that'll get you back outside the caves.
