What am I supposed to do in the Academy area?
1 of 8: Find the stables where the four Waterdhavian creatures are being kept and make sure they're safe.
2 of 8: There are plenty of goblins and skeletons to kill along the way, as well as lots of containers to raid. (Don't forget to click on any little treasure bags that monsters leave when they die and disappear.)
3 of 8: Before long, you'll come across Pavel, whom I'm sure you'll remember from the beginning of the game.
4 of 8: Talk to him and invite him to join you. His help will be invaluable, especially for those of you who aren't powerful melee fighters.
5 of 8: When you find Geldar, go through his tutorial on leveling up, then perform a level-up before proceeding to the southern section of the area.
6 of 8: The door to the stables is in the NW corner of the big SW room that you'll come across eventually.
7 of 8: You'll have to kill the "Mysterious Mage" who's been heckling you periodically before you can leave.
8 of 8: Be sure to raid the mage's treasure bag, as it has a very good random item in it.
