Neverwinter Nights Hints
How can I get into the Shining Knight Arms and Armor back room?
of 9: Talk to Durga about it.
of 9: He'll give you a Shining Knight Ward. (Some character classes will have to pass a persuade check for this.)
of 9: Now you can enter the back room, which is Marrok's forge area.
of 9: Talk to Marrok about making powerful magic items for you.
of 9: There's a limited list of items he can make for you if you have the particular "ingredients" needed. To get the list in book form, ask what component items there are, and then ask for examples.
of 9: Most of the ingredients are themselves hard to come by, so don't expect to be able to get Marrok to make all of those goodies right away. Remember to come back to him later when you have the stuff he needs. (You might want to make a written list of the needed ingredients for whatever items you want the most, and then use the following two location lists to help you get them quickly.)
of 9: Also note that when he makes an item for you and tells you to get it from the forge, you may have to scroll the pages of the forge's inventory display to find the item. That's bad, because it looks at first as if the game glitched and your item isn't there (but it always is).
of 9: One last thing to remember is that there's a guy in Chapter 3 that makes more powerful versions of the same items using the same ingredients. Some of those ingredients (adamantite and special holy water in particular) are impossible to come by in Chapter 3, so be sure to save extra ingredients for items that you'll want to make again in Chapter 3.
of 9: BUG NOTE: If you have Marrok create the so-called "Leather Whitebone Armor" for you, you'll find that it's really heavy armor, not light armor.
