L3: How do I use the wizard lab to make an item?
1 of 8: Search the wizard lab area (NE room on level 3).
2 of 8: Read the lab notes in the book pile that's next to the apparatus table.
3 of 8: It says to put a gargoyle's skull and a slaad's tongue on the apparatus table.
4 of 8: You can get a gargoyle's skull from a dead gargoyle, and you can make some of those in the library room on this level.
5 of 8: As for the tongue, there are several slaads on various levels of the tower that you can kill for a tongue, including the one on the little checkerboard floor pattern on level 2.
6 of 8: After you put both ingredients on the apparatus table, you need to cast Dispel Magic at the table.
7 of 8: This will get you a nifty Rod of Reversal, which can be used to cast Dispel Magic and Greater Dispelling.
8 of 8: NOTE: If you're not a spellcaster, you can still do this by using a Rod of Reversal or a Ring of Magic Defenses to cast Dispel Magic.
