Neverwinter Nights Hints
Rolgan's Trial
of 13: Talk to Neurik in the temple about his problem to get this quest.
of 13: NOTE: You have to have an Intelligence attribute of at least 9 to get this quest. If you're a low-Intelligence barbarian or something, you'll need to equip an item or drink a potion that boosts Intelligence long enough to get the quest. (Both Eltoora and the guy in the Trading Post sell expensive rings that can do this, though it would be cheaper if you'd just saved one from the Host Tower, or could find one while adventuring around in this chapter.)
of 13: Neurik will tell you about Rolgan, a Black Lion Tribe Uthgardt who's been accused of wrongfully killing a Lord's Alliance soldier.
of 13: He'll describe all the key witnesses and jurors, plus give you a book listing them.
of 13: You need to go around and talk to those people before you return to Neurik to start the trial.
of 13: None of them save Rolgan's wife will express much faith in the guy's innocence.
of 13: But the amount of gold and experience points you get for completing this quest is based on how many of the five jurors vote to acquit Rolgan.
of 13: You could try bribing the jurors, but there's a better (and less expensive) way.
of 13: The two key witnesses are Zed and Lodar. Go to work on them.
of 13: Now you're all set. Return to Neurik and tell him to begin the trial (right after saving your game, in case the game glitches and aborts the trial, or you don't get the acquittal you want).
of 13: You're pretty much guaranteed at least a three-torch acquittal if you make sure to mention the cheating and drink spiking when deposing both Zed and Lodar, and then again in your closing argument.
of 13: However, that alone isn't enough to get the full five-torch acquittal.
