Neverwinter Nights Hints

Working for Akulatraxas

  • 1 of 9: You start on this quest by talking to the green dragon Akulatraxas in her cave in the center of the second Moonwood area.
  • 2 of 9: She's sick and tired of hill giants trying to steal her eggs, so she hires you to kill the hill giant chieftain and bring her his head.
  • 3 of 9: The hill giant lair is the cave that's along the west border of the same Moonwood area that Akulatraxas' cave is in.
  • 4 of 9: Make your way to the center room of the first level of the hill giant lair to find a passage leading down.
  • 5 of 9: The chieftain you seek is in the SW room on the lower level. Kill him and get his head and note from his treasure bag.
  • 6 of 9: You can also kill a fire giant envoy in the NE room and get a revealing note from him, but that's strictly optional.
  • 7 of 9: Return to Akulatraxas with the chieftain's head to get 1,000 gold from her treasure.
  • 8 of 9: You can then try to kill her if you think you can. (If doing it in straight melee combat is too hard, try attacking with a bow or spell and quickly running across the nearby bridge -- she may get stuck on the other side, allowing you to shoot her slowly to death from a safe position.)
  • 9 of 9: Or you can unlock or bash open the nearby door to her treasure room and raid it, then use the Stone of Recall to get out of there without having to fight her.
