1 of 2: There are a few plague victims lying around the streets that you can burn for a few experience points. Just ready a torch and click on the victims to do it.
2 of 2: There are several small houses throughout the district that you can enter and loot, some of which also have escaped prisoners to fight. (Note that you can't ever open doors that are barred from the other side.)
