Quest-Related Tips
1 of 3: Many of the quests in the game can be gotten from several different sources, but I only list the one that I think is the easiest and fastest (or most obvious) to get it from.
2 of 3: Also note that you don't necessarily have to have a quest on you in order to complete it. You may often find yourself freeing someone or retrieving an item without having the quest to do so in your journal. That's fine, and you can still go and claim a reward, if you can figure out whom to claim it from.
3 of 3: When you talk to someone about undertaking a quest, be sure to at some point choose a dialogue option that clearly accepts the quest, such as "Okay, I'll do it." I've had trouble several times because I didn't choose that exact dialogue, but the quest was put in my journal anyway. When that happens, the quest may not be doable until you go back and use the "explicit acceptance" dialogue option with the quest giver.
