Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer Hints
Left to Rot
1 of 9: You'll get this quest while working on the "Ancient Knowledge" quest.
2 of 9: Head to the SE portion of the Ashenwood, where all the trees are blighted.
3 of 9: Kill off all the treants and shambling mounds in the area, then talk to the large fallen-over tree called Gnarlthorn.
4 of 9: He'll give you some blighted leaves when you finish your conversation, and you'll need to get some pure water and another blighted item.
5 of 9: After you get those items, use the Burning Grove's world map transition point to travel to the Immil Vale. (It's near the north edge of the world map.)
6 of 9: Head down the vale's narrow dirt path, killing wyverns as you go, until you come to the Red Tree.
7 of 9: As you approach it, spirits named Imsha and Tamlith will appear and talk to you.
8 of 9: After that, you'll need to anoint yourself as Gnarlthorn described to you.
9 of 9: You have two major options on how to finish up this quest. You can do things Chauntea's way (good) or Malar's way (evil).
