How can I get all of the hags' essences?
1 of 12: That will be a very tricky proposition, since you'll be fighting all of them at once.
2 of 12: Before you speak to the coven, rest 8 hours if necessary to get to where you can use your Devour Soul feat at least nine times.
3 of 12: As soon as the battle begins, pause the game and broadcast a "stand your ground" order so your companions won't do any attacking.
4 of 12: Switch to each companion and have him run off to a corner of the room, and hope they won't come under attack while you're busy elsewhere. (If they do, you may just have to let them go down.)
5 of 12: Yes, you're basically going to be taking on the entire coven by yourself. It's tough, but it's the only way.
6 of 12: You'll want to equip items that boost your spell resistance and saving throws before you start in on the hags. Also, equip all of the items you can that put a regeneration effect on you.
7 of 12: Run down onto the lower floor and see if any of the hags will follow you. If so, start hacking on one.
8 of 12: What you want to do is get the hag down to "near death" status, then quickly use your Devour Soul feat on her before she can heal herself.
9 of 12: If you do it right and get a Slumbering Coven essence, quicksave your game and then repeat the process on another hag.
10 of 12: Hopefully, you'll get lucky and won't have to wait for the five-minute "cooldown" after every Devour Soul usage. Otherwise, you'll have to run around and keep yourself alive until the five minutes are up.
11 of 12: You could try going through the door in the NW corner of the coven chamber and taking refuge in the rooms past it. After you kill a few hagspawn guards, that area should be safe to stand and wait in.
12 of 12: That can all take a looooong time to finish, but if you do it right, you should end up with nine Slumbering Coven essences.
