1 of 6: This illithid is standing around a bit west of the building's front door.
2 of 6: He'll have to be convinced to leave in conversation, but that's tough to do.
3 of 6: Save your game before you try, then restore and try again if you fail.
4 of 6: Also, equip items and cast spells that boost your skills (especially Lore and Bluff).
5 of 6: If you keep failing, give up on him and concentrate on getting rid of the other four petitioners -- that'll be plenty good enough.
6 of 6: Succeeding in the Lore/Bluff skill check will get you a powerful amulet called "The Likely Amulet," but so will killing him, which is something you can do later on if you decide to kill off the Slumbering Coven.
