Araman Combat Tips

  • 1 of 11: Move far enough into Araman's room to trigger a conversation with him.
  • 2 of 11: As soon as it's over, pause the game, switch to each of your characters, and click on a spot back in the room that you came out of.
  • 3 of 11: Hopefully, everyone will run back into that room before they can come under attack.
  • 4 of 11: You can close the room's door if you want to, and the enemies may not even open it.
  • 5 of 11: Open it when you're ready to start hacking on whoever followed you there. Hopefully, most of the enemies stayed at the south end of their room.
  • 6 of 11: After the ones who followed you go down, take control of your best archer and have everyone else stand their ground a ways back from the door.
  • 7 of 11: Take your archer through the door and to where he can start shooting some of the remaining enemies with arrows.
  • 8 of 11: When they start running toward him, take him back into your room to lure them in there.
  • 9 of 11: When they start entering, broadcast the "Attack Nearest" command and close the door.
  • 10 of 11: Hopefully, you can finish off Araman and his allies a few at a time this way.
  • 11 of 11: NOTE: If you have the Devour Soul feat, don't bother using it on Araman here -- you'll only get a single volatile spirit essence. To get Araman's unique essence item, you'll have to wait until later in the game. (Though you won't actually get it then, either, due to what I assume is a glitch.)
