1 of 4: Talk to Marshal Cormick near the center of the fort about bandits and Vallis to start on this quest.
2 of 4: To make sure this quest gets put in your journal, talk to Cormick before you talk to Vallis and get his "Fort Locke Investigation" quest.
3 of 4: You'll have to finish the above-mentioned quest and then report back to Cormick in order to finish this one.
4 of 4: NOTE: You'll now have a quest called "Marshal Cormick's Reward" in your journal. It's a reminder to speak to him about your reward once you make it to Neverwinter.
