Neverwinter Nights 2 Hints
Neverwinter Notes
1 of 7: For free healing, ask Hlam or Judge Oleff in the Church of Tyr in the Merchant Quarter. (However, it's usually more convenient to just rest where you are, unless you've got something on you that resting can't cure, like a level drain.)
2 of 7: Oleff also sells some things, including a very useful Potion of Heal, which restores a huge chunk of a character's hit points when he drinks it. He also sells a couple of Raise Dead scrolls that anyone can use.
3 of 7: A wizard named Sand has a shop near the SW corner of the Docks District that's open after you get the second silver shard on the "Investigating the Silver Shard" quest. He also sells a Potion of Heal, plus other cool things like the Necklace of Fireballs.
4 of 7: Sand is also the best merchant by far to sell items to, since he'll give more than twice what the next-best merchants will give. See the Merchant Tips for more info.
5 of 7: Deekin, the humorous kobold companion from the original NWN's two expansion games, can be found at a merchant's stall in the Merchant Quarter. He can't be used as a henchman in this game, but you can talk to him at length about his past, and you can buy some seriously expensive magic stuff from him, including items that only certain prestige classes can use.
6 of 7: Many of the large gates that lead to places like mansions and the Church of Tyr can be bashed. This is convenient to do so that you can easily click your way into the place you're going instead of accidentally closing the gates all the time.
7 of 7: You can have Neeshka use her Sleight of Hand ability on several people in order to get cool items. You can steal a powerful longsword called Blade of the Gladiator from Repko the Weaponsmith, Gloves of the Minstrel (for bards only) from Deekin, and a Belt of Agility +1 from Reylene.
