Neverwinter Nights 2 Hints
Is there an exact sequence that can be followed?
of 12: Yes, there is. And it's easy to tell you what it is by using the string numbers.
of 12: First off, note that it can be handy to have Qara, Grobnar, and Sand in your party, though they're not really a huge help.
of 12: On the first round, choose strings 4, 4, 1, 2, 4, 7, 5, and 4.
of 12: Choose "[Finished.]" (or press the number 8) after that to successfully play the tune.
of 12: Then choose one of the skill-related dialogue topics to see if you can make Cain nervous.
of 12: The second round's tune that you need to play is 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 1, 1, 2, and 2.
of 12: After you succesfully perform that one, you'll get another chance to taunt Cain.
of 12: The third tune's string set is 2, 3, 3, 2, 2, 3, 3, 1, 7, and 5.
of 12: The set of dialogue options you get after that are a bit different, and you may want to just choose the first one to avoid any problems.
of 12: The fourth and final string sequence is 3, 5, 3, 4, 5, 2, 7, 2, 7, 2, and 5.
of 12: After you get that played, choose one last skill-related option.
of 12: If you didn't flub too many tunes and/or skill-related options, you should get 250 XP and the Golden Lute of Shazar, which bards can use to cast Cure Serious Wounds and Haste once a day.
