How should I deal with them?
1 of 8: You could just go around them by using the long side alley to the south of them.
2 of 8: Check the area map to find the alley's west entrance.
3 of 8: There's a stone wall blocking the entrance, so slip in between the nearest two buildings.
4 of 8: Then go down the alley and trash the few thugs you meet along the way.
5 of 8: Or you could approach the large group until you get an option to set up a distraction for some of them. (Both Qara and Neeshka are capable of doing this.)
6 of 8: If you're going to attack, that would probably be the best way to go.
7 of 8: After the city guards are distracted, finish off the thugs and then retreat back the way you came to rest up.
8 of 8: Then go get the guards (and anyone else in the big alley) to gain even more loot and XP.
