1 of 5: At some point before you tell Ballard to secure the house, look around for some old barrels.
2 of 5: You'll find two in the SE corner of the eastern of the two rooms that are south of the Great Hall.
3 of 5: Click on them to find that they're full of old blastglobes.
4 of 5: Choose the option of telling Ballard about them, then go do so.
5 of 5: A good option is to tell him to place both of them by the door to the entrance hall, then have him barricade the other doors.
