Chasing Shandra

  • 1 of 12: After the conversation with Bishop is over, you'll get to choose which two henchmen you want to accompany you and Bishop. (I recommend Neeshka and Qara.)
  • 2 of 12: Tell Bishop you're not ready to go yet when he asks. That way, you can pick up remains bags, rest and heal, go outside and barter with merchants, etc.
  • 3 of 12: When you're ready to go, talk to Bishop and tell him. (Right-click and hold on him, then choose "Talk To.") If that doesn't work, go to a world map transition point and travel to the Village of Ember.
  • 4 of 12: Buff up bigtime and save your game before moving west into the village, since it contains a huge and very tough githyanki ambush.
  • 5 of 12: After you kill off the first large batch, another one shows up!
  • 6 of 12: If you can survive all of that, one of the villagers will tell you where Shandra was taken, and you can rest and heal up.
  • 7 of 12: As you head toward the world map transition point NW of the village, you'll meet and converse with a very strange lad named Marcus.
  • 8 of 12: Use the transition point to travel to the Githyanki Base area, then start making your way east to the base entrance.
  • 9 of 12: After you free Shandra, talk to her and choose the dialogue option to return to the Sunken Flagon.
  • 10 of 12: Duncan will tell you the story of the battle at West Harbor that occurred when you were an infant, and will explain why there's a silver shard stuck in your chest.
  • 11 of 12: You can then talk Shandra into becoming a "free" companion, meaning she can be with you without taking up any of the three regular henchman slots.
  • 12 of 12: Soon after that, you'll finish Act I and start Act II with Part 1: Murder Trial.
