Ribsmasher Tips
1 of 6: If you open the first door you come to on the second level, you'll find a guy named Ribsmasher behind it.
2 of 6: You can provoke him into fighting you in order to get some XP and Gloves of the Long Death +3.
3 of 6: If you decide to let him go instead, you'll get 100 XP.
4 of 6: Once freed, he'll bash his way into the nearby western room with all the ogres in it and start attacking them (if you haven't already cleared them out).
5 of 6: You could just wait and let the ogres kill him, but you won't be able to get his magic gloves for some reason.
6 of 6: If you run in and help him kill off the ogres, he'll keep running around and bashing things (including treasure chests), which can be a bit helpful, but a bit of a nuisance, too.
